The OK Corral of Correlatives
I looked at last month's site stats and finally updated the 10 most popular language pages on LangMaker.com. Quite a bit of change, with Atlantean the new number one, displacing humble Kordron.
Meanwhile, back on the Novvocu front, I think I've wrangled up a good group of correlatives. Here's the preliminary table. I coined the following new words to derive these forms from:
calih [From Russian /kalishestv/, with initial /k-/ in Arabic /kami/, Spanish /kantidad/ and English /kwantiti/.] measure, quantity, amount, quantum -- (how much there is of something that you can measure);; quantity -- (an adequate or large amount; "he had a quantity of ammunition");; quantity -- (something that has a magnitude and can be represented in mathematical expressions by a constant or a variable)
cals [Latin 'classis', "class of citizens", extant in Russian, Spanish, English, et al.] class, kind, sort, form, variety -- (a category of things distinguished by some common characteristic or quality; "sculpture is a form of art"; "what kinds of desserts are there?");; class, category, family -- (a collection of things sharing a common attribute; "there are two classes of detergents");; class -- ((biology) a taxonomic group containing one or more orders);; class, social class, socio-economic class -- (people having the same social or economic status; "the working class"; "an emerging professional class")
